Ha! He's not the least bit worried about how he looks. The poo-poo scented pillow just adds more character to his adorable self.
Seriously, they all seem to do it. I especially used to like it the night before a show when they were braided and got it squished in between the braids or when the immersed their heads in it. Must feel very cushy.
Ah, the comfortable poo pillow. Gotta love grey horses. Even Tessa had a tiny green spot on her the other day. Something about shedding and warm weather and poo...must be spring.
HA! I have a question fer ya...does Val prefer a certain side to embellish his grey with another color with those cushy poo pillows?? I noticed the added color upon the right.
Mine only lays down on her right...and though one may not tell she has squished liquid of P.P. all over her by the color diff, it really has to be washed off, as you well know!
Yuck!! Some horses just don't seem to care about that.
ReplyDeleteVal says that cleanliness is overrated!
ReplyDeleteVal knows you'll get him all cleaned up... poo pillows are too comfy to pass up! LOL
ReplyDeleteWhat is it about grey horses and sleeping on poo? Jackson does the same thing. Grrr.

I read someplace about a horse that was severely neglected and the manure was what saved her - she slept on it to stay warm and had to eat it as well.
ReplyDeleteI've never quite looked at it the same way since!
Val is lucky to have the luxury of the pillow in addition to all his food, hay, toys, etc. Not to mention his maid service and personal hygienist! :)
Laz does that too, thankfully being a Bay, it's less obvious to the eye, but not the curry ;)
ReplyDeletehaha silly Val :)
ReplyDeleteThis is why I'll never own a grey horse:) He looks quite proud of himself
ReplyDeleteit appears that Steele has the same tendencies. And what colour is he going to be? Grey. Sigh.
ReplyDeletelol sheesh mom it was good padding! ;)
